COVID-19 Pandemic UPDATE as of April 3, 2020

Governor Pete Ricketts announced another Directed Health Measure (DHM) indicating that schools are to operate without students in their buildings through at least May 31, 2020.  This directive includes the cancellation of all school extracurricular activities.

The staff has been preparing for this and have begun a variety of measures to continue education throughout the remainder of the school year.  Students have been contacted in how that will look for their classes or grade level.  If you have questions, please email your teacher.

Brown bag lunches will be served to those who have requested.  Delivery dates will be on Mondays and Wednesdays except the week of Easter and deliveries will be Tuesday April 14th and 15th.

Activities and plans:

Pre-K and Kindergarten round-up:  Meridian will hold a zoom meeting with the date to be determined later this month.  Parents will be notified by phone or email and posted on the webpage when the date is set.

Awards Night - canceled:  Results and announcements will be placed on the webpage when the results have been tabulated.  This will be early May.

National Honors Society:  Recognition will be given during a Facebook Live ceremony or some type of virtual event.  Candidates will be contacted by Mrs. Kruse.

Cleaning out lockers:  We will begin to send elementary students personal items home during the Monday deliveries throughout the month of April.  Returning items will begin in April and continue through May.  Each week it will be a different class sending items home.

7-12 students will have designated times to collect belongings.  This schedule will be set at the beginning of May and the dates will be through the dates of May 18 - 21.

Prom:  We will be looking at pushing this event back into June or canceling the event.

Graduation:  Discussions will take place to discuss a virtual ceremony, a parade of cars or pushed back to a potential date in June.  This will be decided after Easter break.
