Congratulations to Erika Schwisow 7th - 8th grade division for winning STATE in the Eastern Nebraska Speech Contest on Monday (May 7th). This year's theme was..."INVENTIONS THAT HAVE IMPROVED THE QUALITY OF LIFE." It is hard to imagine a life without the inventions that we have grown accustom to. We know that these inventions plan an important role in fulfilling our daily needs. Many inventions have made human life much easier, and allow us to complete our tasks much faster and in an easier fashion. This year's School Speech Contest asked contestants to imagine a world without the invention of their choosing and speak about how this invention has improved the quality of life. Erika gave her speech on the wheel. Taelyn Filip also competed at District on Monday. She gave her speech on refrigeration. Again, CONGRATULATIONS to Erika Schwisow for taking 1st place at the State Woodman Speech Contest.
