Ranger Bolli introduces the Bison Trunk to students
Exploring the Bison
Fourth grade students gained an understanding of how Native Americans used the Bison for their survival. Ranger Bolli from the Homestead National Monument led students on an exploration of how the Bison was utilized. Students broke into groups of two and received various parts of the bison which they analyzed and brainstormed in an attempt to discover the "secrets of the bison". Students then presented their ideas to the rest of the class. Ranger Bolli interjected with other key facts.
