Kyan Sones

The Meridian NHS has a yearly tradition of raising money for a charitable cause. The last couple of years the money raised has gone to support Coins for Casa. Coins for Casa is a fun and meaningful way for schools, classrooms and families to come together in support of children in foster care. The money goes to advocate for children who have experienced abuse or neglect, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.

The NHS sets goals for each class with the reward of an ice cream party for each class that meets their goal. They also encourage contributions by allowing students to buy a pie for a $1.00 to throw in a select group of teachers and students faces. This years favorite target was none other than "The Kyan Sones."

All in all the event raised approximately $1,182.00 in support of child advocacy. Congrats to the NHS for putting on such a fun activity and thank you to the parents and students for contributing to such a worth cause.
