Twenty - one Meridian students in grades 9-12 attended the 35th annual Actions Day on Wednesday March 18, 2026 at Central Community College Hastings. Meridian students were among the 675 students representing 25 area schools. The students tested their knowledge in forty content areas. Meridian was represented with a good number of students with 21 entrants. Meridian students were able to come away with nine awards. Students that were awarded trophies for top five finishes were: Seniors: Colby Smith 1st in Heating and Air, Luke Seeman 1st in Criminal Justice and Alli Krumwiede 4th in Poetry; Juniors: Beau Bartels 2nd in Electrical Technology, Maddox Haake 1stin Sports and 3rd in Nicknames, Abby Kerwood 2nd in Accounting, Chase Schafer 2nd in Solar System and Darrien Howe 5th in Zoology. The remainder of the Meridian students put forth their best effort and represented Meridian Public Schools well. Good Job to all the students that attended Actions Day.
