Fire Day

Last Wednesday the elementary students were visited by the local fire departments in our school district. Volunteer fireman and women from Western, Daykin, Tobias and Alexandria brought equipment, trucks and gear to let our students experience what it was like to be a firefighter. From putting on gear, climbing through trucks and even getting to run the firehose, students got a first hand look at what it takes to fight fires. A huge thank you to all the Volunteer Firefighters that gave up their afternoon to educate, inform and entertain the students of Meridian. We are forever grateful of your time for not only coming out to our school but for volunteering to help keep us all safe. Thank you again.
