District Modern Woodmen Speech Contest
Meridian elementary and Jr. High students competed in the District Modern Woodmen Speech Contest held in Hebron, NE on April 8th.
Division 1 (5th and 6th grade) students representing Meridian were: Erika Schwisow, Ally Kort, and Brynn Holtmeier. Ally Kort received a second place trophy and will continue on to the state competition held in May.
Division 2 (7th and 8th grade) partictipants included: Josiee Sobotka, Halle Prybil, and Jackie Dimas. Jackie received the first place trophy, and Josie Sobotka received the second place trophy. Both girls will go on to represent Meridian at the state level of the contest also held in May.
