ESU 5 Robotics Competition

Four Meridian 6th Graders competed in the ESU 5 robotics competition this past Tuesday. Seven teams from the area ESU composed of 6-8th graders competed in a competition that had students code a robot to act like an autonomous driver and avoid obstacles while staying within a certain area. They were in 1st place heading into the final competition which pitted all the robots against each other in an arena. Last robot standing won. After the battle bots, Meridian finished 3rd overall. The team was comprised of Kylee VanWesten, Grady Schwisow, Wyatt Paul, and Jetta Stewart.
