Congratulations to Samuel Thomas for winning the Jefferson County Spelling Championship and Tucker Simms for placing 8th in the 7th and 8th grade division. The spelling contest was held at the Fairbury Fair Grounds on Monday, October 5th. Other contestants competing from Meridian were Landon Griggs, Colby Huls, Luke Seeman, Jenna Woitalewicz, Mackenzie Hofstetter, RJ Paul, Anthony Specht and Becca Vinsonhaler.
