Meridian "Pat on the Back" Recognition Program
The Meridian staff has adopted a recognition program for 7-12 students that promotes the pillars of Character Counts and recognizes students each month who exemplify the character counts ideals. These ideals include responsibility, trustworthiness, citizenship, caring, fairness, and respect. For October the following nine students were recognized at an all-school presentation.
Tyler, a senior, was recognized for the characteristic of citizenship. Tyler is a willing volunteer and offers to help in any way he can.
Kelli, a senior, Billie, a junior, and Amanda, a junior, were recognized for the characteristic of trustworthiness. These three young ladies can be counted on to carry out any task. All three worked very hard to answer questions and helped with the successful magazine sales.
Jordan, a senior, was recognized for the characteristic of citizenship. Jordan went above and beyond when he worked for two days getting videos prepared for the District StuCo elections.
Dillion, a freshman, was recognized for the characteristic of caring. Dillion is a willing volunteer, whenever anyone needs help, he is there.
Michaela, a seventh grader, was recognized for responsibility. She has picked up in her academics and has been more responsible.
Chynne, a eighth grader, was recognized for the characteristic of responsibility. She is cheerful and has a good attitude, always willing to work in the classroom.
Joshua, a sophomore, was recognized for the characteristic of respect. Joshua shows courtesy to his teachers and a tolerance of his peers. Joshua's actions toward others are good and his teachers and peers respect him.
