Class D-1 District Wrestling Tournament
at Central Community College Columbus
Five Mustang Wrestlers Qualify for the State Tournament.
Five Mustang wrestlers punched their ticket to Omaha Saturday at the D-1 District Wrestling tournament held at Central Community College in Columbus, NE. The Mustangs finished in 6th place with 93 points in the 17 team field. Qualifying for the State Tournament were freshmen Liam Noel 3rd at 106 lbs. and Guadalupe Dimas 3rd at 113 lbs.; sophomores Riley Noel 2nd at 152 lbs. and Bryce Schweer 3rd at 285 lbs.; and senior Brant Stewart 2nd at 182 lbs. Brant is the lone returning qualifier from the 2010 – 11 season. The State Tournament starts Thursday February 16 and runs through Saturday. Classes A and D start action at 4:30 pm Thursday at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, NE. Good Luck Mustang Wrestlers!
