Meridian FBLA Attends SLC

Four Students Qualify for NLC in California

Legacy of Leadership was the theme for this year’s Nebraska Future Business Leaders of America.  On April 6-8, the state leadership convention was held at the Omaha Plaza Hotel with over 2,200 members and advisers attending. The keynote speaker Hoan Do, competitor in American Ninja Warrior show, shared to the students on how to become outstanding leaders that make those around them better.

Mrs. Soukup, adviser, and 23 FBLA Meridian members attended the convention and competed in five competitive events and attended seminars held throughout the conference. Honorable mention awards were given to the top four percent of each event on Friday evening at the second general session.  During the closing session on Saturday morning, awards were given to the top eight placings in each competitive event. Throughout the conference, students are competing against Class A, B, C, and D schools.
