**Lady Mustangs have best finish in 36 years**
Coming into the championship game against defending champions Johnson Brock, Meridian knew they faced a tough battle. They came out and won the first set, 25-18. Johnson Brock was able to win the next 3 sets, 25-12, 25-21 & 25-21.
The Runnerup finish for Meridian was the best finish since they placed runnerup back in 1980. The Lady Mustangs finish the season 26-6.
