Enrichment Students Take the Challenge of the Escape Rooms

As a end of the year field trip, twelve Meridian Enrichment students along with sponsors Mr. Placek, Mr. Baber and Mr. VanWesten stepped up to the challenge of the Escape Rooms in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Enrichment students were faced with three different themed rooms ranging from The Heist, which involved finding the missing diamond, The Missing Musician, which involved the students trying to find out what happened to the musician and The Cure: students had to find a cure for a bio-terror that was unleashed on the world. The Enrichment students were only given an hour to solve the room and receive an exit code to exit the room. The Enrichment students had to use various problem solving skills as well as working together as a team. The students were able to solve and exit The Heist and The Cure, but ran out of time in The Missing Musician room. The Enrichment students that took part were: seniors: Brooke Massa, Joshua Traynor and Jakub VanWesten juniors: Chandler Burkhart, Isaiah Ellis, Russell Pesek and Waylynn Scheets sophomores: Adeline Beals, Erin Johnson, Rylee Pieper, Jack Neihouse and Jaicee Sobotka.
