SECONDARY STUDENTS FARE WELL AT THE JEFFERSON COUNTY FAIR

Selected art work from the Junior High and High School art classes was submitted to the Jefferson County Fair this last summer. Sixty-two pieces of art were submitted from forty secondary art students. The following students received top honors with “First Award” stickers; their grade level for last year is indicated in parenthesis. Amanda Arnold (12), Kristin VanWesten (12), Andrew Rohr (12), Ryan Meyer (11), Brandon Bartels (11), Evan Bartels (10), Crystal Brakhage (10), Bethany Lintz (9), Ethan Sims (9), Christina Maschman (9), Michaela Kapperman (8), Cody Nolte (8), Kolton Wickham (8), Yesenia Nunez (8), Drew Endorf (8), Kameron Prouse (8), Anna Aguirre (8), Kelly Villeda (7),Rebecca Taylor (7), Miranda Johnson (7), and Kyle Schwisow (7). Receiving “Very Good” were Brian Heiserman (11), Dylan Nash (11), Josh Aude (11), Emily Aude (10), Karlee Schwisow (9), and Kyle Schwisow (7). Those students receiving “Good” were Kristin VanWesten (12), Brandon Bartels (11), Ryan Meyer (11), Danielle Aldrich (11), Tanya Niederklein (11), Tristen Zoubek (11) Brad Kapperman (11), Evan Bartels (10), Shaunti Connell (9), Blake Miller (9), Riley Meyer (9), Rebecca Taylor (7), and Miranda Johnson (7). “Honorable Mention” went to Kristin VanWesten (12), Amanda Arnold (12), Billie Wassom (12), Ryan Meyer (11), Danielle Aldrich (11), Brian Heiserman (11), Brad Kapperman (11), Dylan Nash (11), Kyle Rohr (10), Cole Williams (10), Mason Mailahn (10), Bryce Schweer (7), and Corey Disney (7). Congratulations to these students who certainly represented Meridian well with their individual art work!
