Meridian School is located two miles west of Daykin, Nebraska. A school with Pre-K, and kindergarten through twelfth grade serving the nearby towns of Alexandria, Daykin, Tobias, and Western.
The Meridian building was completed in spring 1977 with classes starting there the following fall. The towns of Daykin, Tobias, and Alexandria had already combined their schools. Daykin provided a building for students in Grades K-3; Alexandria, Grades 4-6; and Tobias, Grades 7-12.
At the time of consolidation Meridian was a Class C-2 Nebraska school. At the present time Meridian is a Class D-1 School.
Enrollment for the 2010-2011 school year showed 84 students from Pre-K through sixth grade and 100 students from Grades 7-12. A combined total of 184 students.
SOCS network is the communication system we are using. It is a very dynamic program that allows changes to be made. It is our goal to keep the content up to date and exciting in an effort to entice you to return often.
