M-PIE News:
M-PIE met November 13. Sweatshirts, T-shirts and hoodies will only be sold at the first three home basketball games. There are a variety of sizes to choose from in all three styles. There is quite a few of Large Adult Hoodies available.
Plans for a "Career Day" to be held again this spring for the High School students were discussed. This is part of a four-year grant that was awarded to Meridian. The grant is designed to encourage Meridian graduates to go on and further their education after high school. The grant also aids students and parents with visiting and touring higher education facilities the student may be interested in attending after high school. Four Meridian alumni who have attained various higher education degrees or certifications will be invited to discuss their careers with the high school students. This is the second year of the four-year grant.
The M-PIE Raffle will be held during the Girls and Boys basketball games against Shickley on Friday, December 14. The raffle will be held during half time of the boys varsity game. We would appreciate the M-PIE member bringing a couple of craft/food/raffle items by 5 p.m. The Annual M-PIE Soup Supper will be on Tuesday, January 15, during the Girls and Boys basketball games against Exeter-Milligan. A flyer will be sent to Exeter-Milligan advertising the soup supper. It would be wonderful if all members could bring two desserts to the cafeteria by 5 p.m. on the night, too. The next M-PIE meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 7 p.m. at the school. It was moved from Tuesday night to Wednesday night due to the Girls and Boys MUDECAS Basketball Tournament being held on Monday and Tuesday nights of this week.
